About the position

The position at Centene involves collaborating with both business and technology stakeholders to translate high-level business requirements into functional and non-functional technical requirements. This role is crucial for ensuring that the design and development teams have a clear understanding of the technical solutions needed to meet business needs. The individual will gather and validate business and technology requirements, establishing the scope and parameters of these requirements while defining project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics. In addition to gathering requirements, the role requires analyzing and verifying these requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards. The successful candidate will translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a manner that is clear and comprehensible to developers and the project team. This includes creating systems and business process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team. The position also involves managing and tracking the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, enforcing and redefining them as necessary. Effective communication is key, as the individual will need to communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure that issues and solutions are understood. Planning and coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) is another critical responsibility. Monitoring and reviewing levels of IT services specified in service-level agreements (SLAs) with the business is essential, as is researching, reviewing, and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirement gathering processes. The individual will develop strategies for enhancing these processes, quantify potential efficiency opportunities, and track them accordingly. Maintaining system protocols by writing and updating procedures, providing references for users through user documentation, and offering help desk support and training are also part of the role. Finally, the individual will prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and will be involved in clarifying requirements and implementing solutions that meet business needs.
