About the position

The Senior C#/Angular Developer position at Charles Schwab involves hands-on software development, architectural design participation, and mentoring of junior developers. This role is part of the Schwab Asset Management Solutions (SAMS) Technology team, which supports the technology needs of Schwab's investment management business. The position emphasizes Agile and DevOps methodologies, requiring collaboration with various stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on development of software solutions.
  • Participate in architectural designs and technology architecture.
  • Mentor junior developers to enhance their productivity.
  • Engage in Agile and DevOps practices, collaborating with Product Owners and End-Users.
  • Plan, design, and build microservices architectures for in-house platforms.
  • Institute processes and quality toll gates to improve platform supportability and performance.
  • Contribute to reducing technical debts and future-proofing the platform.
  • Apply software design patterns appropriately in various scenarios.
  • Train new developers in the team.
  • Utilize CI/CD practices and tools like GitHub or Atlassian suite.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on expert level development skills in C#/.Net framework.
  • 3+ years of Angular front-end experience (optional).
  • Experience with PCF, Google, or Azure cloud.
  • Developer experience in Informatica, SSIS, and other ETL technologies.
  • Experience in planning, designing, and building microservices architectures.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns and their application.
  • Broad knowledge of IT/software technology trends and infrastructure support.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices and tools like GitHub or Atlassian suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with TDD & BDD.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Exposure to portfolio management and trading processing.
