About the position

The Senior Car Care Manager at AAA Club Alliance is responsible for leading and overseeing the operations of Car Care facilities in Glen Burnie, MD, and surrounding areas. This role focuses on achieving revenue growth, profitability, and maintaining quality standards within the Car Care business line. The manager will oversee service delivery, staff administration, facility management, and operational areas to ensure the facility meets or exceeds its financial goals as outlined in the annual budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day sales and operations of Car Care store locations with revenue of $2.4M to $5M collectively.
• Provide direction and oversight to multiple Car Care locations and staff to enhance customer satisfaction and profitability.
• Hire staff and schedule associates to meet changing business needs for assigned stores.
• Review necessary repairs with customers and associates, addressing questions or concerns.
• Monitor and assure high-quality customer service is provided by associates daily.
• Review and resolve problems or special requests, authorizing special member services as necessary.
• Develop external business relationships to generate business for the Car Care facility.
• Provide technical assistance to Car Care associates as needed.
• Establish partnerships with vendors to provide a complete array of products and services.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on the operations of assigned Car Care facilities for management review.
• Identify and schedule seminars and schooling for technicians and service writers to maintain a competent staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and counsel associates to ensure quality staff development and productivity.
• Act as Health & Safety Officer, managing safety and compliance issues with OSHA and local laws.
• Stay current on EPA and environmental laws to ensure compliance and advise the organization of changes.
• Participate in community and national automotive organizations to solidify ACA's position in the automotive industry.
• Prepare income and expense budgets to ensure the facility meets annual revenue and net income budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
• 7-8+ years of business experience with 4+ years of supervisory experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid operator's license with 5 years driving experience and an excellent record.
• Ability to work autonomously managing a retail automotive services operation.
• Ability to work with automotive diagnostic equipment and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Demonstrated leadership in personnel administration including recruitment, training, and effective communication.
• Ability to adjust work schedule and priorities to meet business needs, including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to travel to assigned stores consistently as needed.
• Satisfactory pre-and post-employment screening results.
