About the position

The Senior Care Aid - PCA position at Nevada Senior Services involves providing client-directed care to older adults with physical and cognitive concerns. Responsibilities

• Provides client-directed care to match the specific needs and abilities of each participant
• Assists clients with activities of daily living, including toileting, personal care, eating, walking, and hygiene
• Builds and maintains relationships with participants
• Assists in food service
• Performs a variety of basic housekeeping responsibilities as assigned
• Assists in activities and classes including crafts, exercise and cognitive programming
• Assists participants and caregivers when entering and departing the facility
• Attends meetings and training to enhance job skills

Requirements

• Experience with older adults with physical and cognitive concerns is preferable
• Professional caregiving experience and reliability is required
• Current CPR certification
• Complete & Pass NV state-mandated, fingerprinted background check
• Complete & Pass a state-mandated 2-Step TB screening
• Complete a Physical Examination by a state licensed physician or physician's assistant

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
