The Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Senior Cartographer to support a U.S. federal government intelligence agency. This role is pivotal in enhancing and conveying analytic thoughts and assessments through cartography. The successful candidate will work closely with analysts to understand their requirements and utilize their cartography skills to create compelling visual representations of complex information. The position is contingent upon contract award and requires an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing technology to design maps, graphics, illustrations, and layouts for Finished Intelligence (FINTEL) production. You will analyze and evaluate cartographic information to determine the most appropriate data sources for FINTEL, as well as research, select, and evaluate map source data for the preparation or revision of maps and charts at various scales. Additionally, you will provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior cartographers, ensuring the development of skills within the team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for geographic information systems and a strong ability to turn complex information into visual stories. You will be expected to produce timely, logical, and concise cartographic products while communicating complex issues clearly, both verbally and non-verbally. This position requires a deep understanding of the intelligence production cycle and the ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures effectively.
