About the position

The Senior Catering Sales Manager at OTO Development is responsible for soliciting new accounts and maintaining relationships with existing clients to drive catering sales for the hotel. This role involves generating leads, conducting site inspections, and developing persuasive sales presentations to secure business for corporate and social events. The manager will oversee the setup and implementation of events, ensuring a high level of guest service and satisfaction while meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new accounts and maintain relationships with existing accounts
• Generate a minimum of 50 calls weekly encompassing telemarketing, site inspections, and outside field calls with weekly documentation
• Responsible for prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing
• Meet with or call individual, corporate, and social clients to solicit business
• Conduct professional site inspections of the hotel with clients
• Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients
• Develop client menus, write contracts and letters, and organize arrangements for events
• Continuously meet or exceed sales goals
• Supervise and attend the overall setup and implementation of events and meetings
• Process payments and take ownership of all functions related to events
• Provide prompt guest service and timely follow-up with prospective clients
• Participate as a team player and demonstrate hospitable behavior as a role model
• Develop full working knowledge of the operations of the Conference Center, including Food and Beverage, Guest Services, and Housekeeping

Requirements

• College degree or equivalent experience
