About the position

The Senior Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Senior Center, ensuring compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards. This role involves planning and implementing programs that promote social interaction and mental stimulation for seniors, as well as coordinating with external partners to provide necessary services and benefits. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including community leaders and service coordinators.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of a Senior Center in collaboration with relevant agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide a variety of social, recreational, and informational programs for seniors.
  • Plan and implement programs to promote mental stimulation, including activities and classes.
  • Order meals for participants in collaboration with the meal provider.
  • Promote senior socialization and interaction with community leaders.
  • Maintain accurate client files and databases as required by agency policies.
  • Perform data entry and compile routine and ad-hoc reports as necessary.
  • Work evening and weekend hours as required.

Requirements

  • Bi-Lingual Spanish Speaking is required.
  • High School diploma or GED is required; Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • Food Service & Sanitation Certificate is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
