About the position

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with over 7 years of experience specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis of gas turbine components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency in using Fluent for fluid flow and heat transfer analysis, and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and validating CFD models. This role is critical in optimizing designs, enhancing performance, and contributing to high-impact engineering projects. Candidates with experience in gas turbine and steam turbine components, or similar technologies, are highly desirable. In this position, you will perform CFD analysis on gas turbine components, focusing on fluid flow and heat transfer. You will be tasked with developing and implementing CFD models, running simulations to predict and improve component performance. Validation and verification of CFD models will be essential, as you will compare results with experimental data and theoretical predictions to ensure accuracy. You will identify key design parameters and constraints for simulation studies, ensuring that the results are both accurate and relevant. Based on simulation outcomes, you will optimize designs and processes to enhance efficiency and overall performance. Additionally, you will provide design improvement recommendations grounded in in-depth CFD analysis, analyze simulation data, interpret results, and draw meaningful conclusions for project stakeholders. Your role will also involve preparing detailed reports, technical papers, and presentations to effectively communicate your findings. Collaboration with engineers and scientists will be crucial as you integrate CFD results into broader project workflows. Familiarity with Teamcenter is a plus, as it will streamline project and data management processes. Experience with CFD analysis related to steam turbine components is also preferred.
