About the position

The Senior Channel Applications Engineer at ABB is a remote position focused on providing expert support for the application of ABB PLC/HMIs and LV drives in various industrial processes. The role involves designing tailored solutions for customers, managing application problems, and ensuring high-quality delivery while maintaining customer satisfaction. The engineer will collaborate with OEM Application Engineers and create detailed technical reports to address product issues.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, schedule, and delegate work assignments to ensure timely and accurate support for ABB PLC/HMIs and LV drives.
• Design and recommend tailored solutions based on deep knowledge of ABB's portfolio to meet customer needs.
• Negotiate deviations and agree on win-win solutions for specifications.
• Identify and communicate applicability of new or emerging functional solutions to address business issues.
• Advise on the delivery of high-quality solutions using professional expertise.
• Continuously aim to meet targets even in challenging circumstances.
• Identify and systematically follow up on business opportunities.
• Focus energy on key tasks to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manage PLC/HMI motor application problems and initiate effective solutions.
• Create detailed technical reports on product issues and manage customer relationships during corrections.
• Interface with OEM Application Engineers to collaborate on relevant systems and solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in applications engineering or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of ABB PLC/HMIs and LV drives.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to negotiate solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
