About the position

The Senior Chemical Engineer at Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC) will play a pivotal role in leading efforts from research and development (R&D) concepts to commercialization. This position involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including requirement identification, industrial chemical process development, process design, and process improvement. The candidate will engage in laboratory experimentation, pilot design, cost estimation, and report generation. The nature of the projects will vary, requiring the candidate to define solutions for evaluation or explore open concepts to develop alternatives based on customer needs. This role is an opportunity to apply both core and emerging chemical engineering capabilities to address chemical processing challenges creatively and effectively. CTC's matrix organization allows for involvement in multiple projects beyond core chemical engineering roles. Responsibilities may include utility assessments of domestic and industrial waters, Department of Defense (DoD) fuels, natural gas, and steam systems at DoD installations. The candidate will also participate in peer reviews of team reports and evaluations, as well as support project and program proposals. The position anticipates travel, estimated at 15%, which will be dictated by project needs and may include visits to DoD/contractor facilities, both within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside (OCONUS), as well as attendance at relevant conferences.
