About the position

The Senior Chemical Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing manufacturing processes by analyzing data, leading projects, and collaborating with various teams to improve product quality and efficiency. This position requires extensive experience in chemical engineering, particularly in production and process areas, to support the design and implementation of new equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing data to identify enhancements to quality, reliability, cycle time, cost reduction, and yield.
• Assist with the design, construction and start-up of new or improved production equipment.
• Lead the implementation of small capital projects related to process improvement.
• Partner with R&D to roll out product scale up and new product information in the manufacturing units.
• Support manufacturing to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
• Investigate production quality issues to identify root cause and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Work closely with manufacturing to develop, coordinate and implement technical training for employees.
• Promote and nurture a positive and safe culture.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years' experience as an engineer; preferably with a background in production/process area of chemical products
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
• Familiar with large-scale batch processing techniques such as Esterification reactions, Neutralization, Washing, Distillation, Steam Stripping, Filtration, and Pastillation.
• Experience in Rockwell Automation or similar PLC experience
• Experience with continuous improvement
• Experience in Process Safety Management
