About the position

As a Senior Chemical Process Engineer at our Houston facility, you will play a pivotal role in the design, optimization, and implementation of chemical processes that are critical to our operations in the energy sector. You will be responsible for leading projects that enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability in our chemical processing systems. This position requires a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, as well as the ability to apply these principles to real-world challenges in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and safety, to ensure that our processes meet regulatory standards and industry best practices. You will also be involved in troubleshooting process issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to improve overall process performance. Your expertise will be essential in developing and maintaining process documentation, including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and operating procedures. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical matters, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical process engineering, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles and process design.
  • Experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
