About the position

The Senior Chemical Process Engineer at Entegris will play a crucial role in the New Product Development (NPD) team, focusing on overseeing multiple projects that drive profitable growth in the Advanced Deposition Materials group. This position requires a hands-on approach to support solids sublimation projects, which produce specialty chemicals for high-performance semiconductor products. The role involves collaboration with various teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful design, development, and scaling of processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop LVM and HVM sublimation processes based on input from product marketing, manufacturing group, and customers.
  • Scale up R&D equipment and processes to High Volume Manufacturing sublimation equipment.
  • Improve chemical yields and cycle time on new processes.
  • Engage with product marketing and manufacturing groups for process requirements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure equipment reliability and adherence to quality and cost targets.
  • Design enhancements to existing equipment manufacturability and new product equipment.
  • Take a hands-on approach to meet project scope and timing, assisting project team members as needed.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a similar technical field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience (7+ years) of increasing responsibilities within a global, multicultural, multi-location organization in a high technology industry.
  • Thorough understanding of sublimation/distillation processes and critical control parameters.
  • Thorough understanding of statistics and statistical software.
  • Familiarity with SAP Enterprise software.
  • Ability to maintain a clean work environment and work in a cleanroom environment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift items up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Nice-to-haves

  • Medium to High volume manufacturing experience.
  • Experience leading projects related to continuous improvement of yield, cycle time, and cost reduction involving distillation or sublimation.
  • Fundamental knowledge of chemistry and thermodynamics.
