About the position

Our client, a leading supplier of advanced materials, is seeking a highly motivated senior level Chemical Process Engineer to join their dynamic New Product Development (NPD) team. As a Chemical Process Engineer, you will oversee multiple projects driving profitable growth in the company's Advanced Deposition Materials group. You will be a key player in designing, developing, and scaling up processes for manufacturing high-performance semiconductor products. In this role, you will lead the design of Low Volume Manufacturing (LVM) and High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) sublimation processes based on input from product marketing, manufacturing, and customers, playing a crucial role in key business projects. You will be responsible for scaling up research and development equipment and processes to High Volume Manufacturing sublimation equipment, ensuring smooth transitions. Your focus will be on enhancing chemical yields and cycle times for new processes. Collaboration with product marketing and manufacturing teams will be essential to define and meet process requirements. Additionally, you will work closely with manufacturing to ensure equipment reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness, including improvements to existing equipment and the introduction of new equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of LVM and HVM sublimation processes based on input from product marketing, manufacturing, and customers.
  • Scale up R&D equipment and processes to High Volume Manufacturing sublimation equipment, ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Enhance chemical yields and cycle times for new processes.
  • Collaborate with product marketing and manufacturing teams to define and meet process requirements.
  • Work closely with manufacturing to ensure equipment reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness, including improvements to existing equipment and the introduction of new equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or similar technical field or related experience is required.
  • A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience (7+ years) of increasing responsibilities within a global, multicultural, multi-location organization serving a high technology industry.
  • Thorough understanding of sublimation/distillation processes and critical control parameters.
  • Medium to High volume manufacturing experience.
