About The Position

As a Senior Chiller Plant Operator at JLL, you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining central plant equipment within a collaborative team environment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the highest level of professionalism while meeting the clients' needs and achieving the goal of 100% uptime throughout the team. This position is based in Franklin, MA, and requires on-site work from Monday to Friday, with a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergencies. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and will be part of a full-time employment structure that includes comprehensive employee benefits within one month of employment. In your day-to-day activities, you will be responsible for protecting and enhancing the value of the client's assets by ensuring that building engineering systems perform their intended functions. You will implement and manage agreed-upon client maintenance standards, assist in managing third-party maintenance providers, and ensure overall systems performance. This role involves executing equipment inspection and monitoring programs, continuously evaluating current maintenance and operations methods, leading plant maintenance, and implementing changes to enhance operational effectiveness. You will operate, monitor, and maintain various plant equipment, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, HVAC equipment, motors, pumps, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Your responsibilities will also include performing routine and emergency repairs to electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery, managing chemical treatment and monitoring associated with steam, cooling towers, and chilled and hot water systems, and ensuring that detailed preventative maintenance tasks are executed as scheduled and documented in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). You will respond to alarms, take appropriate action to correct system operations, and communicate all issues and resolutions effectively. Additionally, you may be called upon to assist team members and perform any assignments for which you are trained and have the resources to do safely. You will also be responsible for maintaining all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the building, including up-to-date building drawings and documentation mandated for maintaining company and regulatory compliance with federal, state, or local laws. Compliance with all relevant policies regarding regulatory compliance and safety is essential, and you may be required to perform additional or different duties to address business needs and changing practices.
