About the position

The Senior Civil Design Engineer will play a crucial role in a well-established civil engineering firm, focusing on site grading, stormwater management, sanitary sewer design, water supply systems, and roadway design for both private and public sector projects. This position offers high growth potential and the opportunity to work on a variety of projects while collaborating with other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and analysis for civil engineering projects using approved computer programs and manual computations in accordance with accepted design practices.
• Work independently on design and production of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Prepare design calculations, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Attend project meetings both internally and with clients.
• Assist with project administrative activities, document controls, and project scheduling.
• Handle other assignments as needed.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 7 years of civil design experience
• PE license preferred
• Working knowledge and experience with state and regional regulations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of MicroStation preferred
• Valid driver's license required.
