About the position

The Senior Civil Engineer/Operations Manager position offers an opportunity to lead projects for clients in both the public and private sectors, focusing on land development. The role can be based in either the Wyoming Valley (Wilkes-Barre) Office or the Greater Scranton (Olyphant) Office. As a Senior Civil Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for the design of subdivisions and land development, navigating the zoning and approvals process, and managing stormwater management systems. The position requires strong communication skills, as the candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and CAD technicians/designers across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of experience in the design and management of land development projects, with a proven track record in client relations, business development, and mentoring junior engineers. The role also involves preparing project proposals, managing contracts, reports, and invoicing, as well as hiring and mentoring junior engineers and designers. The candidate must possess a Professional Engineer license and have a strong understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D, along with the ability to attend evening meetings and travel to client sites as needed.

Requirements

  • B.S. Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer license
  • Prior land development experience required
  • Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills
  • Prior project and client management experience
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Valid driver's license - for travel to client sites/meetings
  • Ability to attend evening meetings
  • Ability to obtain clearances (for PA school projects)
