As a Senior Engineer/Project Manager, you will be responsible for applying your strong technical expertise in water resources engineering analysis and design. You will collaborate with the Water Resources Engineering (WRE) team to identify and pursue water resources opportunities, potentially leading a team of engineers and technicians in executing hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) related projects. Your role will also involve cultivating expertise in flood warning and flood forecasting, establishing a focal point for these initiatives, and building a national network of clients and consultant partnerships. Responsibilities

  • Applying strong technical expertise in water resources engineering analysis and design.
  • Collaborating with the Water Resources Engineering (WRE) team to recognize and pursue water resources opportunities.
  • Leading a team of engineers and technicians for the execution of hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) related projects.
  • Cultivating expertise in flood warning and flood forecasting.
  • Building a national network of clients and consultant partnerships.

Requirements

  • CFM Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in HEC programs, XP-SWMM, EPA SWMM, and other relevant software.
  • Experience in analyzing and designing projects related to flood damage reduction and mitigation.
  • Experience in developing flood warning and flood forecasting systems.
  • Strong technical skills in water resources engineering.
  • Ability to manage and conduct analyses for water resources engineering studies.
  • Strong communication and organizational capabilities, particularly in technical writing.
  • Familiarity with crafting construction documents, plans, and specifications.
  • Local experience is viewed as a positive factor.
  • Proficiency in GIS is an additional advantage.
