About the position

Halff Associates Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer - Project Manager specializing in Land Development for our Central Texas region. This full-time position is designed for a candidate who will take on significant responsibilities in managing projects related to residential, commercial, and industrial land development. The successful candidate will work closely with the team leader to develop plans, specifications, and other contract documents that encompass various aspects of land development, including paving, grading, drainage, water lines, and sanitary sewers. In this role, the Senior Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, overseeing project design and managing staff. The position also involves mentoring less experienced team members, ensuring effective communication with support staff, clients, and governmental agencies. The candidate will be actively involved in marketing efforts, project reporting, forecasting, and client invoicing, providing a comprehensive approach to project management. This position offers ample opportunities for professional growth and development within the company. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or be able to obtain licensure within six months. A minimum of 10 years of experience in Land Development is preferred, along with strong project management skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, as is a desire to interface with clients. Familiarity with Civil 3D software is considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's qualifications for this role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Preferably 10+ years of Land Development experience.
  • Ability to work independently and make significant decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Desire and ability to interface with clients.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D software is a plus.
