About the position

As a Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager at Olsson, you will be part of a team-driven, purpose-oriented engineering and design firm dedicated to improving communities through innovative solutions. This role is designed for a Senior-Level Professional Engineer who is passionate about leading projects that prioritize sustainability and community impact. You will be responsible for providing technical support and serving as the lead engineer on complex projects, leveraging your extensive expertise in engineering design to ensure successful project outcomes. In this position, you will oversee the deliverables and completion of small-to-mid-sized projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within the established scope and budget. Your responsibilities will include executing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) plans, mentoring and training team members, and maintaining high standards of quality control by conducting thorough checks on plans and deliverables. You will also play an advisory role on challenging projects, providing project management support and leading the delivery of high-quality engineering and design solutions that meet client needs. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and serve as a lead engineer on complex projects.
  • Oversee project deliverables and ensure timely completion in accordance with established scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Execute QA/QC plans and maintain quality control by conducting thorough checks on plans and deliverables.
  • Mentor and train team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Play an advisory role on challenging projects and provide project management support.
  • Lead the delivery of high-quality engineering and design solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related civil engineering experience.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, and regulatory approvals.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
