About the position

As a Senior Civil Engineer at Mott MacDonald Bentley, you will lead the design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, overseeing the entire process from outline design to construction and handover. You will build and manage a multidisciplinary project team, ensuring that designs meet specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints. This role is crucial in delivering projects for one of the UK's largest water and sewerage companies, Northumbrian Water, and involves collaboration with various engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Build and manage a project team of electrical, mechanical, civil, and process designers.
• Ensure designs are completed in accordance with specifications, on time, and within budget.
• Coordinate with Project Leaders and specialist designers to deliver projects effectively.
• Oversee the outline and detailed design phases, construction, commissioning, and handover of projects.

Requirements

• Qualified Civil Engineer with experience in water or wastewater projects.
• Chartered or Incorporated member of the ICE.
• Proficient in using software packages for civil design calculations.
• Understanding of designer's responsibilities under CDM regulations.
