Responsibilities

  • Perform civil engineering design focusing on geometric roadway design and hydraulic drainage modeling.
  • Liaise confidently with clients and team members to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Demonstrate accurate technical drawings and maintain attention to detail in all work.
  • Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office products for project tasks.
  • Adhere to LaDOTD specifications in all design work.
  • Engage in construction administration and support project delivery.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience performing civil engineering design.
  • Active Louisiana (PE) Professional Engineering license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Previous experience in geometric roadway design.
  • Previous design experience in hydraulic drainage modeling.
  • Understanding of software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project).
  • Previous experience working with LaDOTD specifications.
  • Previous construction administration experience.
  • Methodical approach to problem-solving to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
