About the position

Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Panama City Beach, FL. This position is ideal for a Florida Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or a certified Engineer Intern (EI) who is ready to take on a variety of civil engineering assignments. The role will involve working on residential and commercial site development projects, municipal design, and the design of potable water, sanitary and storm sewer systems, as well as roadway design. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with both public and private sector clients, contributing to projects that enhance community infrastructure and quality of life. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will be expected to leverage your expertise to manage and execute projects effectively while fostering strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of multi-tasking and problem-solving in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities

  • Participate in a variety of civil engineering assignments including residential and commercial site development.
  • Engage in municipal design and the design of potable water, sanitary and storm sewer systems.
  • Conduct roadway design for public and private sector clients.
  • Strengthen and develop relationships with clients.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team to deliver projects effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5+ years of Public Works and/or Site Development experience.
  • Professional Engineer license (PE), or capable of obtaining within 6 months.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Stormwater modeling experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Project Management experience is a plus.
