About the position

Carrington West is excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join one of the most innovative and progressive consultancies in the Civil Engineering and Infrastructure sector. This role is pivotal in managing and contributing to the design of various infrastructure projects, primarily located in the north of England, particularly around Leeds, with occasional assignments across the UK. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated civil engineering team responsible for designing highway and drainage schemes tailored for commercial, industrial, and residential developments. The position requires a strong background in both road and drainage design, specifically with experience in Section 38 & 278 for roads and Section 104 for drainage. Proficiency in software tools such as Microdrainage, PDS, Civils 3D, and AutoCAD is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion, which includes preparing drainage appraisals and integrating Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) in compliance with Local and Water Authority requirements. Candidates should hold a relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, ideally at degree level, and possessing professional status such as Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng) would be advantageous.
