About the position

The Senior Civil Engineer at HDR is responsible for designing and planning civil engineering projects, including site layouts, grading, drainage, and utilities. This role requires a high level of expertise and judgment in engineering techniques, as well as the ability to manage and supervise a team of professionals. Responsibilities

• Design and plan production for general civil projects including site layouts, grading, drainage, and utilities.
• Perform quantity calculations for project specifications.
• Prepare specifications and contract documents for civil engineering projects.
• Conduct permitting processes for various projects.
• Perform complex assignments using standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Serve as a technical expert in a specialized area to resolve complex engineering problems.
• Plan and develop projects with significant impact on company programs.
• Organize and supervise the work of a medium to large staff of professionals and technicians.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years design experience managing various civil/site design projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D software is critical.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications, Bluebeam Revu, and other civil engineering software.
• Project Engineering experience.
