We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for our Southern California Civil team. The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for providing a high level of leadership, mentoring and training for less experienced staff. This could be technical, project management, marketing, or business development in nature. The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for complete design by discipline for projects of all sizes, making major design recommendations and decisions with little input from senior staff. They will plan design work by discipline for all project sizes and assign duties to staff working on projects. The role also involves reviewing correspondence prepared by junior staff and actively participating in quality control of projects. In the Technical Path, the Senior Civil Engineer will contribute to leadership in some aspect of our Technical Operations Team for both large and small projects, act as an advisor, analyze technical problems, and write reports. They will play a significant role in project reviews for quality control for large complex projects and provide technical assistance to help resolve field issues, requiring site visits to resolve technical issues with minimal assistance from other senior staff. In the Project Management Path, the Senior Civil Engineer will effectively serve as Project Manager on large complex projects or multiple smaller projects, identify prospective clients, assist in marketing to develop new clients, and prepare proposals for services. They will consistently bring work into the firm with existing or new clients and participate in presentations to clients.
