About the position

The Senior Civil Site Engineer will play a crucial role in the Energy & Power business at Jacobs, focusing on the design and delivery of electrical transmission and distribution projects as well as renewable generation projects. This position involves leading projects from conceptual design through to final execution, ensuring technical quality and adherence to client expectations, budget, and schedule. The role also emphasizes professional growth through collaboration with early career professionals and engagement with clients and sub-consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from conceptual through final design, including preparation of civil plans and related documentation.
• Coordinate with GIS and CAD professionals to prepare maps, drawings, and other details.
• Oversee the preparation of technical drawings and engineering reports.
• Work effectively with multi-disciplinary global project teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Assist with proposals and business development activities.
• Build strong client relationships with a variety of clients.
• Attend in-person, field, and online meetings with clients to provide management support and engineering guidance.
• Contribute to a learning environment, support fellow engineers, and offer mentoring opportunities.
• Support the team to instill an inclusive culture that values diversity of thought.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within six months.
• 8+ years of experience in civil site design for energy clients, including facility types such as onshore wind, solar, electrical substations, thermal generation, and oil & gas.
• Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, focusing on site plan layout, geometric design of access roads and driveways, grading, drainage, and coordination with other disciplines.
