The Senior Civil/Structural License Renewal Engineer at ENERCON plays a crucial role in the License Renewal Team, which is integral to the company's operations in the energy sector, particularly in nuclear licensing. This position is based in either Kennesaw, GA, or Chattanooga, TN, with the possibility of remote work for highly experienced candidates. The engineer will provide regulatory expertise, ensuring that all documents submitted to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and other regulatory agencies are accurate and complete, particularly focusing on civil and structural disciplines. In this role, the engineer will conduct independent research and analysis to support various regulatory and technical projects. They will be responsible for monitoring regulatory trends and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and guidelines. Building and maintaining relationships with clients is essential, as the engineer will interface regularly with licensing staff to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for support. The engineer will also oversee the implementation of aging management programs, ensuring that NRC commitments related to License Renewal are met. As a subject matter expert (SME) in civil and structural engineering, the engineer will mentor junior staff and represent ENERCON in significant technical discussions within the industry. This position requires a strong understanding of nuclear power plant design and operations, as well as the ability to navigate the complexities of regulatory environments while delivering high-quality work.
