About the position

The position involves working with Verizon's Public Sector - SLED customers to drive their business forward through consultative selling. The role requires establishing deep relationships with customers, understanding their unique challenges, and crafting tailored solutions to meet their needs. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, leveraging industry knowledge to create strategic plans that enhance sales and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Help Public Sector - SLED customers move their business forward by solving their business problems.
  • Create value for customers through a consultative selling approach.
  • Establish Verizon as the premier business partner in assigned accounts.
  • Understand and evaluate industry, business, and customer trends within government and education accounts.
  • Develop deep relationships with customers to understand their businesses, markets, and challenges.
  • Craft creative solutions to help customers realize their goals.
  • Sell services and data center solutions to improve customer connectivity and efficiency.
  • Demonstrate value to ensure customers choose Verizon's solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 50% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license.

  • Experience in account development and leadership.
  • Experience in selling network and data center solutions such as cloud computing, security, and call center solutions.
  • Ability to meet or exceed challenging sales targets.
  • Experience in developing relationships with large multinational and Fortune 500 accounts.

  • Experience in persuading and negotiating to create desired outcomes.
