About The Position

As a Client Platform Engineer in our Workplace Technology team, you will work as part of a Client Platform Engineering spearheading the goal of delivering world-class Linux VDIs. We are looking for an experienced Linux administrator, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our growing AWS Workspaces based virtual desktop environment. You will work closely with Atlassian engineers to understand their requirements, design tailored VDI solutions and provide expert-level support to ensure optimal system performance and security.

Requirements

• 4 - 5 years proven experience with RHEL based Linux endpoint administration and troubleshooting.
• 2 years proficiency in scripting languages for Linux and AWS automation.
• 2 years working on macOS and Windows endpoint management technologies and approaches.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex issues including virtualization and VDI environments.
• Skills implementing regulated industries security and compliance best practices and policies for Linux and Windows VDI environments.
• Strong aptitude for building client relationships by providing excellent technical support and guidance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AWS Workspaces such as design, deployment, scalability, and performance.
• Working with information security, compliance and audit teams on complex issues like FedRAMP requirements.
• Troubleshooting cloud networking issues.
• Skills with identity access platforms like Okta.
