About the position

The Senior Clinical Project Manager at IQVIA Biotech is responsible for the successful planning, implementation, and execution of clinical studies. This role involves managing project teams, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and maintaining positive client relationships. The position requires strong leadership skills to oversee all aspects of clinical trials, from contract execution to project completion, while also supporting the development of departmental standards and training.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full scope regional and global clinical projects.
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Negotiate with clients to ensure operational processes are maintained.
  • Review project study trends and respond proactively to client needs.
  • Develop early warning systems for potential project obstacles.
  • Identify and document training requirements in LMS systems.
  • Manage change on all assigned projects.
  • Ensure projects are run according to SOPs and timelines as per contract.
  • Maintain current project reporting and client relationships.
  • Assist in developing and updating internal processes and SOPs.
  • Provide project support to Managers as assigned.
  • Oversee delegation of support staff activities as necessary.
  • Assist in developing capability and proposal defense presentations.
  • Support final project contract execution and CIS documentation.
  • Participate in performance appraisal programs for team members.
  • Maintain knowledge of FDA regulations and GCP guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a health-related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least five years of direct clinical trial experience in a CRO or research-related organization.
  • Minimum of two years of management experience.
  • Demonstrated clinical monitoring and/or data management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong financial management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize in a matrix team environment.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in electronic data capture.
