About The Position
The Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer supports the development and execution of cloud implementation strategy within the organization's existing IT infrastructure. The work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. This role implements the organization's cloud strategy to focus on Cloud Infrastructure Capacity and Performance optimization at the intersection of all Cloud products and services, and all physical infrastructure (Servers, Data Centers). This position will be uniquely positioned to optimize these capacity plans at the most strategic levels by utilizing a combination of capacity/performance engineering and/or operations research/data science skills. The Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer may work with stakeholders across the organization to evaluate cloud systems and identify appropriate solutions. They will collaborate with product managers and engineers to develop specifications for new cloud-based products/services, applications, and solutions. The role drives the roll-out of cloud management platforms, evaluates its performance, and implements enhancements. The Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer begins to influence the department’s strategy and makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding the technical approach for project components, with work performed without direction. They exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
