About the position

As a Senior Cloud Computing Specialist in Data Engineering/Science Support at Cherokee Nation Systems Solutions (CNSS), you will work within an agile product delivery team to develop cloud-native solutions that align with mission requirements while considering security, financial, architectural, and business impacts. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality cloud applications and ensuring effective communication between stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Documenting user stories based on product owner requirements and backlog.
• Ingest and visualize data sets from internal and external providers for integration into cloud solutions.
• Elicit data requirements from the product owner and other stakeholders.
• Create/update SDLC documentation including Requirements Documentation, Use Case Documentation, Data Flow Documentation, and Testing Plans.
• Support the Product Owner by facilitating user acceptance testing with stakeholders.
• Develop cloud-based applications using AWS native tooling and programming languages such as Python and R.
• Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and other approved tools for development.
• Work collaboratively with designers, developers, and project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance and Common Access Card (CAC).
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in information technology and development, preferably in a federal agency setting.
• Experience in an agile environment and with data engineering tooling such as R and Python.
• Proficiency in website design and development tools including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong visual design skills and knowledge of programming techniques for optimizing website performance.
