About the position

As a Senior Cloud Data Engineer at UBS, you will play a pivotal role in the Investment Banking sector, specifically within the US Regulatory Reporting Crew based in Weehawken, NJ. In this role, you will design, build, install, configure, and support enterprise applications that are critical to the bank's operations. You will translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed designs, ensuring that all aspects of the system are well thought out and executed. Additionally, you will perform analysis on vast data stores, uncovering insights that can drive business decisions and improve regulatory compliance. Your contributions will directly impact the bank's ability to meet its regulatory obligations, such as FINRA CATS reporting, making your role crucial to the organization's success. Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of proven experience in Java, with knowledge of Kafka/Flink desirable.
• Working knowledge of Databricks or Spark or Python.
• UI design and implementation experience.
• Experience with Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server.
• Experience in loading from disparate data sets and maintaining security and data privacy.
• Working experience in Agile development and high-speed querying.
• Strong communication skills with superior inter-personal and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and professionalism, consistently exhibiting 'role model' behavior.
