At Schwab, the Schwab Data organization governs the strategy and implementation of the enterprise data warehouse, data/analytics/AI technology and emerging data platforms. The organization's mission is to drive activation of data solutions within Schwab Technology Services, to evolve data/analytics/AI technology and reinforce our ability to safely, responsibly, intentionally, and broadly utilize data, analytics, and AI. We help Marketing, Finance, Risk, and executive leadership make fact-based decisions by integrating and analyzing data. We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer for our Analytics Data Platform Engineering Automation team. In this role you will be responsible for automating the deployment, testing, and delivery of software in a fast-paced agile environment. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for innovative technologies and a strong understanding of continuous integration, DevSecOps and deployment (CICD) and/or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies. You will be working with a team of talented technologists and SMEs who bring a lot of energy, focus and fresh ideas that support our mission to provide value by seeing the world 'Through Clients' Eyes'.

Responsibilities

• Automate the deployment, testing, and delivery of software in a fast-paced agile environment.
• Build CICD pipelines for GCP technologies (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Cloud Run, PubSub) or Bamboo, Bitbucket, or GitHub & GitHub Actions.
• Manage code repositories in Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins, Airflow, Cloud Build etc.
• Automate build processes including DevSecOps in SDLC.
• Lead the design, provisioning, scaling, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Provide technical leadership and develop automation for application development and operation teams.
• Take end to end ownership for DevOps & SRE engineering ensuring best practices in cloud and on-prem are followed.
• Monitor and maintain the stability and performance of the various CICD environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with 5 years focused on DevOps and CICD technologies.
• Minimum 3 years of Public Cloud experience, preferably Google Cloud.
• 5+ years of CICD Automation experience.
• 5+ years of Automation & Scripting experience, proficient in Python or one of the following scripting languages: Java, Bash, Perl, and PowerShell.
• 3+ years of Infrastructure Management experience.
• 3+ years of Technical Oversight experience.
• 2-3+ years of SRE experience.
• 5+ years of Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced Python skills for scripting and automation.
• Experience with ETL products like Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and Talend.
• Functional knowledge of financial banking, stock brokerage or insurance domains.
• Experience working in Agile team, familiar with Scrum and Kanban process.
• Critical-thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
