About the position

The Senior Cloud DevSecOps Engineer at Applied Insight LLC is responsible for architecting and managing cloud networking solutions primarily in AWS and Azure environments. This role involves automating cloud infrastructure, implementing security measures, and ensuring efficient deployment processes. The engineer will work closely with federal government customers to enhance their cloud capabilities and contribute to innovative solutions that address real-world challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and manage cloud networking in AWS and/or Azure.
  • Configure and deploy virtualized routers and firewalls.
  • Manage and provision resources within various cloud environments.
  • Automate infrastructure using DevOps tools and scripting languages.
  • Contribute to git repositories and assist with code reviews.
  • Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters using relevant tools.
  • Implement Single-Sign-On (SSO) solutions with MFA and SAML.
  • Develop and manage Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions.
  • Harden security at the cloud provider, networking, and OS layers.
  • Integrate logging to EFK Stacks and manage logging solutions.
  • Perform troubleshooting of cloud services and applications.
  • Create and update documentation for processes and solutions.
  • Collaborate with management and peers to improve deployment processes.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship and Current TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Experience with cloud automation, CI/CD, or serverless tools.
  • Proficiency in writing Infrastructure as Code using JSON or YAML.
  • Experience with cloud network security and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure best practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Linux configuration management and system administration.
  • Experience with container configuration and deployment.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines like Gitlab or Jenkins.

Nice-to-haves

  • Firewall configuration and management experience.
  • AWS Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Administrator Associate Certification.
  • Azure Administrator Associate or Developer Associate Certification.
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience in Zero Trust Architectures.
