About the position

CACI is seeking a Senior Cloud Developer to enhance and build enterprise-scale environments using AWS technologies and DevOps methodologies. This role involves working directly with AWS services to improve security automations, aid collaboration with software engineers, and streamline infrastructure processes. The position supports dynamic professional services engagements, focusing on migration, evolution, and optimization within AWS-based environments, with no long-term operations and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance workflows and processes by building an enterprise-scale environment using AWS technologies.
  • Interact with various operating systems and cloud computing platforms to create IT automation and orchestration activities.
  • Use open source technologies and tools to accomplish specific project use cases.
  • Employ coding languages or scripting methodologies to solve problems with custom workflows.
  • Collaborate with project team members to tackle complex technological infrastructure and development problems.
  • Perform incremental testing on code, processes, and deployments to streamline execution and minimize errors.
  • Work with cloud native services to implement event-driven architectures via Infrastructure as Code.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in software development, software engineering, or systems automation.
  • Experience with agile software development in Python, Go, or Node.js.
  • Experience performing automation in Windows or Linux environments using scripting languages such as Bash or PowerShell.
  • Customer-facing skills to drive discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • BS in Computer Science, IT, IS, or equivalent technical study.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

  • AWS experience
  • AWS Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps Administrator Associate Certification
  • Experience with JSON or YAML for Infrastructure as Code
  • Familiarity with container orchestration services, especially Kubernetes
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab, or Jenkins.
