Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a talented Senior Cloud Developer for an immediate contract opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is expected to last for 12 months or more, with the potential for long-term engagement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing solid and supportable modular designs for data streaming, cloud transformation/migration, and API product development that support critical applications. The role requires the development of data APIs and data delivery services that cater to operational and analytical applications for the client's internal business operations, customers, and partners. The Senior Cloud Developer will also be tasked with the creation and support of data-centric products that span multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies. Analyzing technical information and producing quality software is a key responsibility, along with initiating collaboration with teammates and offering creative solutions to overcome obstacles. The candidate will work within automated testing and CI/CD processes, document solutions in both written and diagram form, and communicate effectively across teams. Additionally, leveraging developer coding standards to ensure alignment with design goals and business needs is essential. Proactive communication with both the team and leadership is expected, as well as collaboration with vendors. The position demands a strong understanding of cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, shell scripting (Bash and PowerShell), and SQL. Experience with streaming data, data extraction from various databases, and deploying and managing infrastructures based on Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift is also required. The candidate should be flexible, possess a passion for learning, and have strong oral and written communication skills. Business Intelligence/Analytics experience is a plus, and a degree in Information Systems or Computer Science is preferred.
