About the position

The Senior Cloud Developer position at Innova Solutions involves developing modular designs for data streaming, cloud transformation, and API product development. This role is critical for supporting internal business operations and enhancing customer and partner interactions through data APIs and delivery services. The developer will work collaboratively within a hybrid environment, focusing on creating data-centric products and ensuring quality software delivery through automated testing and CI/CD processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop solid and supportable modular designs for data streaming, cloud transformation/migration, and API product development.
• Develop data APIs and data delivery services that support operational and analytical applications.
• Create and support data-centric products that encompass multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies.
• Analyze technical information and produce quality software.
• Initiate collaboration with teammates and offer creative solutions to overcome obstacles.
• Work within automated testing and CI/CD processes.
• Document solutions in both written and diagram form and communicate effectively across teams.
• Leverage coding standards to ensure that development meets design goals and business needs.
• Identify technical issues, articulate their impact, and communicate the need for prioritization.
• Maintain proactive communication with both team members and leadership.
• Work collaboratively with vendors.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working with multiple disparate systems.
• Experience in cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/Google), with a preference for AWS.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, shell scripting (Bash and PowerShell), and SQL.
• Experience working with streaming data and data extraction from various databases (Oracle, DB2, MySQL, etc.).
• Experience deploying and managing infrastructures based on Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Experience with scalable data extraction tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Aurora, AWS Glue, and Redshift is a plus.
• Understanding of data engineering, real-time streaming and/or event-driven architectures, and JSON parsing.
• Experience with automating application deployment, continuous delivery, and continuous integration (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, etc.).
• Experience building microservices and API architectures.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Flexibility and a passion for learning and collaborating with colleagues.
• A strong commitment to safety and security for yourself and others.
