About the position

The Senior Cloud Developer role at GDIT involves designing, implementing, and managing hybrid cloud financial management tools for the CMS Cloud team. This position focuses on executing strategies for tool delivery while ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of cloud tools. The developer will work with various AWS services and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud applications and enhance solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage CMS hybrid cloud financial management tools.
  • Execute strategies for tool delivery ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Work with AWS Storage and Analytics services such as S3, Glue, Athena, and QuickSight.
  • Utilize AWS Compute and Management services including Lambda, Fargate, and CloudFormation.
  • Configure AWS cloud monitoring and alerts for resource availability.
  • Analyze customer requirements and provide technical expertise on cloud computing techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and apply new knowledge to enhance solutions.
  • Monitor and update existing solutions to ensure integrity and responsiveness.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of solution diagrams and infrastructure as code.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes and methodologies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience in cloud development.
  • Experience with multiple AWS services including Lambda, Athena, Glue, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Hands-on experience setting up Single Sign-On using AWS Identity Center.
  • Experience building serverless applications.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Python, and Git.
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Experience creating and presenting solution architecture diagrams.
