The thinkorswim Trading Technology team is responsible for our award-winning, professional-level platform for active traders (Desktop, Web, and Mobile). We've combined the strengths of Schwab and Ameritrade to create a world-class trading experience allowing clients to manage positions, find quotes, access charts, studies, get support, and place trades easily and securely. The thinkorswim mobile app syncs with preferences and settings from thinkorswim desktop, allowing for seamless market scans and technical analysis across multiple devices. We are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer, who is adaptable, self-motivated and passionate about containerization, cloud services, technology and SDLC pipeline management. You will focus time equally across design, hands-on development, and providing mentorship to our junior developers while being part of critical app modernization and cloud migration. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a team of hardworking engineers, on one of the most sophisticated trading platforms in the world, built on a codebase we are constantly updating with the latest and greatest industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-based applications and services.
• Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on best practices.
• Manage and maintain CI/CD build pipelines for efficient deployment.
• Implement containerization solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize applications and migrate to the cloud.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for resource management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related fields.
• 8+ years of hands-on automation development experience with 4+ years' experience in cloud environments - Google Cloud Platform, AWS.
• 5+ proficiency in either Java or any other object-oriented languages.
• 5+ years of experience & competency in setting up & maintaining CI/CD Build pipeline.
• 5+ proficient with Scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible, SALT mgmt, etc.).
• 5+ systems administration understanding (especially Linux).
• 3+ years of experience with containerization technologies like Docker.
• 3+ years of experience developing & managing Kubernetes clusters both on-premise and in cloud.
• 3+ experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts (Terraform).
