About the position

The Senior Cloud Developer position at Diverse Lynx LLC is a critical role focused on cloud development and migration, particularly within the AWS environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advanced Java technologies, complemented by experience in Python and other programming languages. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of development experience, with at least 4 years specifically in AWS cloud development and migration. The candidate will be responsible for developing modular designs for data streaming, cloud transformation, and API product development, ensuring that these solutions are robust and maintainable. In this position, the Senior Cloud Developer will work on enhancing and maintaining on-premises and internal Platform as a Service (PaaS) applications, actively transitioning these applications to AWS in alignment with project timelines. The role also involves designing and implementing serverless patterns from containerized applications, which requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies and best practices. The candidate will be expected to build industry-standard APIs and assist in establishing, consuming, and routing calls, as well as managing connectivity protocols and policies. This position emphasizes collaboration and communication, as the developer will work closely with colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Responsibilities

• Develop solid and supportable modular designs for data streaming, Cloud transformation/migration, and API product development in support of critical applications
• Develop efficient and effective software using Java, C#, Python, .Net, Spring Boot, Microservices, APIs
• Enhance and maintain on-prem and internal PaaS applications, actively reworking these to AWS along project timelines
• Help design and implement serverless patterns from containerized applications
• Build industry-standard APIs and assist with establishing, consuming & routing calls, connectivity protocols, and policy.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of Development experience
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience on AWS cloud development and migration
• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience on advanced Java technologies
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience on Python is a plus
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with multiple disparate systems
• Hands-on experience in Cloud Technologies (AWS / Azure / Google), with AWS being preferred and mandatory
• Proficiency with Python, Java, shell scripting (Bash and PowerShell), and SQL
• Experience working with streaming data and data extraction from different databases (Oracle, DB2, MySQL, etc.)
• Experience deploying and managing infrastructures based on Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift
• Experience with scalable data extraction tools is a plus
• Experience working with Kafka, Aurora, AWS Glue, Redshift is a plus
• Understanding of data engineering, real-time streaming and/or eventing, and JSON parsing
• Experience with automating application deployment, continuous delivery, and continuous integration (Jenkins, Ansible, etc.)
• Experience building microservices and API architecture
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Flexibility and a passion to learn and collaborate with colleagues
• Business Intelligence/Analytics experience is a plus
