About the position

The Senior Cloud Developer at ManTech is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud-based applications and services. This role is critical in building and optimizing cloud-native solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets business requirements. The position requires strong technical expertise in cloud platforms and modern development frameworks, with a commitment to best practices in coding, security, and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud technologies and services.
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud.
• Strong proficiency in cloud-native development, including microservices architecture, containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
• Experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, Node.js, or Go.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, RESTful services, and event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
• Understanding of cloud security practices, including access controls, encryption, and secure coding standards.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure Developer Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Developer).
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for automated deployment and monitoring.
