About the position

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the analysis, evaluation, and integration of cloud-based systems. This role focuses on providing cloud engineering expertise to design and deliver optimized network infrastructure, ensuring performance and resilience. The engineer will guide development teams, establish monitoring metrics, and coordinate with cybersecurity teams to implement continuous monitoring frameworks. The position requires a current and active Top Secret/SCI federal security clearance with a CI Polygraph and extensive experience in cloud systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analysis, evaluation, and integration of cloud-based systems.
  • Provide guidance on the design and delivery of network infrastructure optimized for performance and resilience.
  • Support the design, delivery, and integration of infrastructure, platform, applications, and process solutions with cloud environments.
  • Guide and mentor development teams to expand cloud competencies.
  • Establish application, environment uptime, and utilization scaling parameters and metrics for monitoring and enhancements.
  • Establish standard policy and compliance metrics to monitor cloud environment operations.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity team members to establish performance and cybersecurity continuous monitoring frameworks.
  • Provide guidance for the application of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) standards in cloud environments.
  • Lead the analysis and development of information papers for emerging cloud-based technology.
  • Establish risk identification and tracking processes for hosting environment infrastructure and hosted applications.
  • Communicate with program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of experience dealing with cloud system requirements, system development and implementation, and system testing.
  • Experience with Federal Government, DoD, or Intelligence Community customers.
  • A current and active Top Secret (TS) / SCI federal security clearance with Full Scope (FS) Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Relevant certifications and training in cloud-based technology and systems integration.
