Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with our client in the transportation industry in their Atlanta, GA location. This is a 12 month + contract position. The client is on a journey to become the best IT organization in the airline industry, undergoing a transformation that aims to change the way business is conducted from top to bottom. They are striving to create meaningful and innovative solutions and are looking for team members to help realize this vision. The Senior Cloud Engineer will play a crucial role in this transformation by ensuring the security and integrity of the company's applications and data. The responsibilities of the Senior Cloud Engineer include identifying weaknesses and vulnerabilities that affect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of corporate protected, sensitive, and confidential information and data. The engineer will conduct Static Application Security Tests (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Tests (DAST) using tools like VeraCode. They will work within the DevSecOps model to secure containers, utilizing ROSA, Tekton, and OpenShift pipelines. A strong knowledge of CI/CD orchestration tools such as Jenkins, Tekton, GitLab, or Bamboo is essential. The engineer will also provide operational support for container security tools, perform baseline image validation of new container template images, and conduct vulnerability scans on container environments. In addition, the Senior Cloud Engineer will develop, test, and maintain containerized applications security, troubleshoot connectivity or operational issues, and ensure security requirements are implemented within various stages of the system development lifecycle. They will work closely with development teams to perform penetration testing on new features within internally developed applications and validate and address vulnerability/threat findings from static and dynamic analysis tools. The engineer will characterize threats and provide recommendations for remediation, managing remediation efforts to completion, and developing and presenting findings and remediation reports to audiences across the company. The role also involves conducting security assessments against web applications and APIs across various technology stacks, ensuring adequate security requirements and privacy by design are built into all architecture/infrastructure/projects, and integrating threat modeling practices into the application testing lifecycle. The Senior Cloud Engineer will impart application security and ethical hacking subject matter expertise into team processes, drive improvements in the security testing practice, and partner effectively with development and infrastructure teams to integrate security. They will also drive awareness and knowledge of security among developers and effectively communicate technical issues to non-technical leaders, continually improving proficiency in application and API exploitation, tools, techniques, and countermeasures.
