About the position

The Senior Cloud Information Security Engineer at U.S. Bank is responsible for implementing and supporting security solutions to protect data and assets from unauthorized access and other threats. This role involves project leadership, security oversight, and risk management, as well as developing security design guidelines and frameworks. The engineer will also mentor team members, evaluate new security technologies, and communicate risks to stakeholders. The position offers a hybrid work schedule with an expectation of in-office presence for three or more days a week.

Responsibilities

• Implement and support security solutions and technologies to protect data/assets.
• Provide project leadership, security oversight, and risk management on security projects.
• Set security design guidelines, frameworks, and models.
• Identify new security issues and risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Document security objectives and participate in projects that develop new intellectual property.
• Train and mentor team members.
• Build relationships and trust across the organization.
• Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies.
• Develop and interpret security policies and procedures.
• Support acquisition and vendor risk assessment due diligence.
• Lead the building, deployment, and maintenance of security tools for the insider threat program.
• Proactively seek solutions to mitigate risk and communicate risks to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically five or more years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years experience in an IT environment including service-oriented and IT architecture.
• 3+ years API, Micro Services, and container security experience.
• 3+ years Data security and privacy experience.
• 3+ years working in Cloud Computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• 8+ years experience with information security technologies and administration.
• 2+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management and application architecture.
• 2+ years demonstrated experience using techniques for protecting data in a SaaS environment.
• 5+ years demonstrated experience performing technical troubleshooting and documentation.
• 2+ years of experience in IT systems management including change control.
• 4+ years crafting technical designs considering dependencies and maintainability.
• 5+ years working in an Agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.
• 5+ years demonstrated team leadership experience leading 3-8 person teams.

Nice-to-haves

• CISSP, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform Certification would be a plus.
• Experience with Dev Sec Ops.
