About the position

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect Senior to assist as we continue moving into our Cloud 1st strategy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build and design solutions that meet our business needs, driving the adoption of the technical architectural vision of the enterprise for both on-premise and cloud-based solutions. You will support on-premise multi-data center and cloud initiatives for Information Services (IS) and the company as a whole. Your responsibilities will include proposing new technologies, technical and architectural strategies, and processes to meet business challenges, while considering their costs and benefits. You will provide insights and innovative perspectives that contribute to the strategic plans and directions of the enterprise. As a technical expert across multiple infrastructure towers, you will be sought out by other professionals in the field and industry to resolve problems and expand their technical expertise. You will develop highly sophisticated technology plans that support the business, requiring the integration of multiple domains and addressing the interrelationships of various systems to serve diverse clients. Defining and maintaining architectural standards and principles will be a key part of your role, as will solving problems that have unique and broad implications for the technology architecture. This position typically represents the top of the escalation path for resolving the most complex technical problems. You will direct and lead the architectural planning of projects that are critical to the future of the organization, consistently leading projects in a self-motivated and self-guided manner. Recommendations for investment in new products and technology solutions will be part of your responsibilities, supported by appropriate ROI, total cost of ownership, and cost-benefit analyses in partnership with appropriate AHC colleagues. You will possess deep expertise in infrastructure and system modeling skills to effectively document and analyze proposed architectures across the enterprise. Additionally, you will design ACFC platforms based on hybrid and multi-cloud solutions, specifically Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud, to deliver new applications and capabilities in a cost-effective manner. Enhancing the Hybrid Cloud sustainability strategy will also be part of your role as the business evaluates integrating technologies through potential automation of solution exchanges, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Experience in the design and support of containerized solutions is also required.

  • Develops highly sophisticated technology plans to support the business, integrating multiple domains and addressing interrelationships of systems.
  • Defines and maintains architectural standards and principles.
  • Solves problems that have unique and/or broad implications for the technology architecture.
  • Directs and leads the architectural planning of projects that are highly critical to the future of the organization.
  • Provides recommendations for investment in new products and technology solutions, supported by appropriate ROI and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Possesses deep expertise in Infrastructure and system modeling skills to document and analyze proposed architectures.
  • Designs ACFC platforms based on hybrid and multi-cloud solutions to deliver new applications and capabilities cost-effectively.
  • Enhances Hybrid Cloud sustainability strategy, evaluating integrating technologies through potential automation of solution exchanges.
  • Experienced in design/support of Containerized solutions.

Requirements

  • At least twelve (12) years of relevant experience driving architectural standards.
  • Experienced with Cisco, HPe compute, VMware, Pure Storage and Telcom based technologies.
  • Strong experience in architectural principles in on premise, cloud-native/hybrid-multi cloud architectures, container orchestration (kubernetes/OpenShift), microservices and operational best practices across cloud offerings Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience supporting Azure cloud deployments is highly desired.
  • Strong experience with Security, virtualization, configuration and deployment models for IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and Serverless.
  • Familiar with principles of network and information security.
  • Familiar with Cloud security and governance, CASB/SASE Framework, network virtualization technologies such as SDN.
  • Familiar with Health care Industry is a plus.
  • TOGAF Certification highly desired.
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience; MS degree preferred. Degree in Computer Science or related fields is desired.
