About the position

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure DevOps Engineer at Sensiple Inc. is responsible for deploying and maintaining infrastructure across multiple cloud service providers using tools like Terraform and Ansible. This role requires a strong focus on security, technical documentation, and the implementation of monitoring and logging capabilities. The engineer will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with teams to enhance customer infrastructure and ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Write, modify, and run Terraform from an existing codebase to deploy and maintain infrastructure across multiple cloud service providers.
• Run Ansible playbooks to manage customer infrastructure and troubleshoot as needed.
• Use GitLab with multiple repositories to maintain customer infrastructure and create merge requests for changes.
• Configure, build, and deploy containerized services using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Access traffic flow data to troubleshoot connectivity issues between customer and hosted environments.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation regarding network and system design and governance.
• Develop standard operating procedures, knowledge base articles, and technical bulletins in support of the infrastructure.
• Operate with a security-first mindset in all responsibilities.
• Implement monitoring, configuration management, and logging capabilities for a multi-tenant cloud infrastructure.
• Utilize generative AI elements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and security.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5-8+ years of experience with Python, Terraform, Ansible, Concourse CI/CD, Vault, and Identity Management.
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating system internals and administration.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform foundational technologies.
• Proficient in using Terraform for deploying applications in cloud environments.
• Experience with CI/CD technologies and scripting or programming languages for automation (bash, python).
• Strong Linux OS skills including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of networking concepts such as IP routing, subnetting, and network troubleshooting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with RBAC design and provisioning for users.
• Familiarity with Jira for project management.
