About the position

The Senior Cloud Operations Engineer at NICE is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and supporting innovative cloud-deployed solutions for digital evidence management, particularly for Public Safety customers worldwide. This role involves collaborating with product teams to introduce new products and ensuring the supportability of these solutions. The engineer will also take on responsibilities related to security operations and participate in a 24-7 on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provisioning, deploying, monitoring, patching, and upgrading enterprise cloud software.
• Working closely with the development team to ensure successful deployment of software packages.
• Supporting production systems and replicating customer issues on test systems for diagnosis and repair.
• Defining and implementing regular maintenance and health monitoring procedures.
• Collaborating effectively with staff across the business and escalating issues to management or R&D as necessary.
• Gradually taking over the responsibility of SecOps Team Lead.
• Managing costs associated with solutions and services.

Requirements

• Experience in supporting web-based software provided as a service.
• Experience with scripting in Linqpad, Powershell, or similar.
• Experience administering databases (Microsoft SQL) and basic querying.
• Knowledge of Windows server and client technology.
• Knowledge of network principles (IP addressing, firewall rules, network security groups, etc.).
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Methodical troubleshooting skills and attention to detail in diagnosing problems.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in programming (e.g., C#).
• Scripting experience in Linqpad, Powershell, or similar.
• Experience with Azure (AZ900 and AZ104 certifications).
• Experience with Postman or Fiddler.
• Understanding of .Net applications.
• Knowledge of Linux Operating System.
• Experience with ServiceNow (SNOW) ticketing system.
