About the position

As an Azure Senior Cloud Operations Specialist at Bank of America, you will play a pivotal role in the organization's growth and evolution. Your primary responsibility will be to modernize existing and future cloud operations workflows, simplifying and optimizing processes to ensure consistency in quality and urgency of investigations. You will establish a well-defined decision matrix for escalations to partner organizations, ensuring that all security events are handled efficiently and effectively. Collaboration with partner teams will be essential as you continually identify opportunities to reduce event volume, increase event fidelity, and engineer detections for new threats and risks. In this role, you will also support the development and maintenance of innovative training programs aimed at quickly upskilling existing cybersecurity operations professionals to operate effectively in an Azure cloud operations environment. Additionally, you will represent the organization during any audit or regulatory examinations related to cloud operations. Your expertise will be crucial in investigating security events and incidents within cloud environments, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to identify threats and vulnerabilities. You will design and implement comprehensive workflows for handling security events, ensuring timely and effective response procedures. Your collaboration with cross-functional teams will involve developing and refining security policies, procedures, and best practices tailored specifically to Azure cloud security operations. As a mentor, you will provide guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional development and enhancing the overall capabilities of the team. Responsibilities

• Investigate security events and incidents within cloud environments, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to identify threats and vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in cybersecurity operations, with a focus on Azure.
• Proven expertise in investigating security events and incidents within cloud environments, demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, particularly in highly regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, government).
• Experience in designing and implementing workflows for security event investigation and response.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior team members.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
